Doulas, it is time to change your mindset. I understand it may be challenging due to the hurdles you have encountered with the medical billing process. I know it is easier said than done, but it is sustainable and lucrative. Please do not give up; your services are needed. When something is lucrative, is not always going to be easy; we have to work for it. DOULA WORKSPACE is an interactive billing training.

You must have a laptop, desktop, or with Wi-Fi for sessions. You have a platform on your computer to complete the application Adobe, Soda, or PDF software to complete the applications.

SESSION 1 Obtain Tax ID and NPI numbers and complete the Medicaid Enrollment Application. These are required to bill Medicaid and Managed Care Plans. P&C will fax on your behalf and confirm submission.

SESSION 2- Eligibility: Understanding the importance of verifying patient eligibility, and primary and secondary insurance plans. A patient must have coverage on the date of service to receive reimbursement.

SESSION 3- Audit Readiness -FRAUD & Abuse Documentation & EHR system (your name is on the claims submitted). 

SESSION 4- Billing Process Contracts, Clearinghouse, Place of service, Modifiers, CPT & Diagnosis Codes, and, Timely Filing 

SESSION 5/6 -Medicaid and Managed Care Plans in your state
